Sodium Dehydroacetate acts as a preservative. It is an odourless white powder soluble in water, glycols, glycerin and methanol. Sodium Dehydroacetate finds application in formulating cosmetic products. It functions as a fungistatic ingredient and preservative. Used in wipes, oral care, baby care, rinse-off and leave-on products. It is an exact alternative to Geogard® 111S, TRIstat SDHA (NF) and SpecChem Sodium Dehydroacetate.
Sodium Dehydroacetate is paraben and formaldehyde free. It fights against yeast, moulds and gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It can be used in leave-on and rinse-off applications. It is permitted in natural and organic cosmetics.
